Future Development
Plans to continue to work on this competency for long-term career and self development.
I plan on continuing to work on this competency as I have found it has really helped me in building even my own knowledge. The procedures I had setup have been helpful in accomplishing many goals.
-
Checklists: keep on track have worked wonders for my productivity and I have since incorporated it into my daily tasks to improve efficiency.
-
Building momentum: I have started to build momentum for the more difficult tasks by working on easier tasks that builds momentum for the more complex tasks (whether it be starting by just opening up a document, or going for a walk). It has allowed me to overcome barriers that would otherwise work against me. I have incorporated such tasks into my daily routine now.
-
Long-Term Vision: Setting goals has developed my journey into smaller more realistic bullet points that allows me to be productive toward an end goal that all my actions are guided toward.
-
Self-Development: The biggest shift has been since I have shifted what is the goal for myself. Now the focus is always to find ways to improve myself. Since this mindset shift, the overall approach toward harder more complex tasks have become more achievable.
-
SMART Goals: Having a dedicated and precise SMART goal has allowed me to keep my actions guided toward a larger goal. Being able to break down and give myself specific deadlines even to complete certain tasks helps with accountability in the long-term.
